As I wrote about last week, I have been in Thailand… and now, we are in Taiwan! We’ve been in and out of service and busy with family… hence why this newsletter is coming a few days late.
Something for … Tuesdays? Forgive me.
A highlight from our Thailand trip was traveling 1.5 hours to a random zoo out of the way to see internet sensation and superstar Moo Deng.
For those of you who don’t know Moo Deng, she is a baby pigmy hippopotamus, and was a bright spot in 2024 for many people amidst political turmoil and spiritual strife!
Watch this video to see what I’m talking about.
A reporter commented that people love to see her “cute, moist, and unbothered”.
Miss Pygmy Hippopotomaus Superstar Moo Deng seems to be completely unaware of the fact of her stardom… she just is. She eats, she plays, she follows her mama hippo around. She does not try to be anything else but a plump, bouncy, hippo body.
People all over the world have celebrated her little plump bouncy pygmy hippo body… but when it comes to human bodies… where is this celebration?
For January’s Spiritual Seed, we focused on the Image of God. I loved hearing your experiences and thoughts about the Image of God and where you have been seeing God. Refocusing on who and what God is (and what God is not) is the foundation of building a new spiritual life. Thank you for the readers who have shared with me your insights and takeaways from last month’s spiritual seed! If you’re just starting, no worries, these spiritual seeds work all year round.
February’s Spiritual Seed is focused on a topic that’s been on my mind for a while and feels like a natural continuation from last month: The Body.
Spiritual Seeds are monthly invitations and prompts for paid subscribers to cultivate your spiritual life. They are intended to help you rebuild, nourish, and grow your spirit. 🌱
You can upgrade your subscription on the web-version only (you’re currently not able to do this from the app). My subscriptions are $5/mo, or $50/year. If you’d love to be a paid subscriber, but don’t have the means to do so right now, please do not hesitate to email me (kimberpoon@gmail.com) and I will gift you a subscription. Again, my main hope is to create a sacred space to deconstruct/reconstruct with these paid posts, so your intention is what matters most to me. :)
And now, onto February’s Spiritual Seed…
